DC reviews availability of essential services in Poonch district
POONCH, AUGUST 29: Deputy Commissioner Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma chaired a meeting with the concerned officers today to review the availability and functioning of essential services in the district.
During the meeting, the DC directed the concerned departments to ensure adequate stock of essential commodities including food items, LPG, and fuel to meet public requirements without disruption.
The status of telecom services in the district was also reviewed. The Deputy Commissioner instructed representatives of all three major telecom operators to expedite restoration by undertaking necessary repair works at the earliest to ensure seamless connectivity.
Reviewing the preparedness of the Medical Department, the DC directed the health authorities to remain fully geared up to tackle any eventuality. He stressed ensuring sufficient availability of medicines, ambulances, bedding and other critical health infrastructure for the public.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized coordinated efforts among departments to maintain uninterrupted essential services and assured the public that the district administration is committed to addressing their needs on priority.
