The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Rajouri unit today successfully organised a district-level workshop under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, with the aim of spreading awareness, mobilising cadre, and strengthening grassroots activities to realise the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi Ji. The workshop witnessed the presence of senior leaders, office bearers, and active karyakartas of the district, reflecting unity and commitment towards the mission of self-reliance.
Inaugural Session
The programme was formally inaugurated by District President Sh. Dev Raj Sharma, who underlined the importance of the initiative. He said that “Atmanirbhar Bharat is not only an economic programme but also a call for national awakening. Self-reliance in local industry, agriculture, skill development, and digital empowerment will pave the way for a stronger Rajouri and a stronger India.” He appealed to all party functionaries to actively involve youth, women, farmers, and entrepreneurs in the campaign.
Role of Convenor and Guidelines
District Convenor of Atmanirbhar Bharat, Miss Samreen Khan, presented the detailed calendar of upcoming activities and dates to be carried out across the district. She emphasized that every mandal and booth must contribute with discipline and coordination. “Our strength lies in teamwork. If we collectively execute each programme – from awareness drives to local entrepreneurship support – Rajouri will set an example in the UT,” she said.
She also elaborated on the five key pillars of Atmanirbhar Bharat as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji — Economy, Infrastructure, System, Vibrant Demography, and Demand. She explained how these pillars form the foundation of a self-reliant India and highlighted that youth and women must actively take leadership roles in strengthening them at the grassroots level.
Adding to the guidelines, UT Secretary and UT Co-Convenor Atamnirbhar Sh. Dinesh Sharma provided step-by-step direction on how the campaign will be structured. He elaborated on the priority sectors such as agriculture, handicrafts, youth skill-building, women self-help groups, and promotion of local products. He added that this mission would also generate employment opportunities and strengthen grassroots self-dependency.
Leaders’ Addresses
District Prabhari Sh. Munish Sharma encouraged the cadre with a motivating address, reminding them that “Atmanirbhar Bharat is about mindset change – from dependency to productivity. Every karyakarta must ensure that government schemes and benefits reach even the last household in our villages.”
UT ST Seh-Prabhari Sh. Rajinder Gupta highlighted the policy framework behind Atmanirbhar Bharat and its impact on local industries. He stressed the need for close coordination between mandals, convenors, and co-convenors to ensure uniform progress across Rajouri district.
District Vice President Sh. Kapil Saryal appreciated the enthusiasm of the gathering and said, “Our district has immense potential in agriculture, small-scale industries, and youth talent. With proper guidance and organisation, Rajouri can emerge as a model for self-reliant districts in J&K.”
General Secretaries Sh. Sanjay Sharma and Sh. Pushpinder Gupta assured full organisational support and committed to mobilising maximum participation from grassroots workers.
Retd. ADDC Sh. Subash Sharma brought an administrative perspective, sharing practical insights on how Atmanirbhar Bharat schemes can be better implemented at the local level.
