Surankote Youth Meet Newly Posted SDPO Surinder Sharma, Discuss Key Issues of the Surankote
Surankote, November 3, 2025:
A delegation of youth from Surankote, led by senior citizen Shri Khushdev Verma, met with the newly posted SDPO Surankote, Shri Surinder Sharma, today to extend a warm welcome and convey best wishes for his new assignment.
During the interaction, the youth representatives raised several pressing local issues, including the growing menace of drug addiction and illegal drug trafficking, unauthorized mining activities, and traffic management challenges such as unregulated roadside parking. The delegation expressed their willingness to fully cooperate with the police in maintaining peace, discipline, and social harmony in the region.
SDPO Surinder Sharma appreciated the proactive spirit and enthusiasm of Surankote’s youth, assuring them of complete police cooperation in addressing public grievances and strengthening law and order. He emphasized a zero-tolerance approach toward illegal activities, particularly those linked to drug abuse.”We all must come together to fight against drugs, as addiction is slowly damaging our society. During my tenure, I aim to work closely with the public and youth so that together we can make Surankote a better and safer place,” said SDPO Sharma.
